Compassionate Learning Communities: Module 1 Understanding Trauma Informed Practice

Course start & commitment:  Tuesday, April 28th. (1:00PM), followed by 3 ZOOM meetings and self paced study (completion date, May 7th).

You are invited to gain understanding in your professional Trauma Informed Practice.  This online course is the first of four modules in the Compassionate Learning Communities Framework.  It is tailored to staff who would like an introduction to neuroscience and the effect of trauma on brain development. However, the course is open to all staff who want to join the conversation and would like to refresh their knowledge of the content.  Specific case studies and school based strategies which can provide a sense of safety, connection and inclusion for all students, will be introduced.  Participants will be eligible to study further modules if time and interest allows.
